There has not been much experimental research to explain spade-decay. Compared to the suits that often accompany it (hearts, diamonds, and clubs), the spade seems to harness a dark, wicked energy. Over time, the spade will collapse in on itself and develop into geometric bone and cartilage spikes. Once settling into its final shape, it will begin to infect the other shapes, causing them to submit to similar forms.
